At Reedswood, we value the learning that can take place outside the classroom.
Forest School supports children’s holistic development. Children engage in self-directed, motivating and achievable tasks and activities throughout the year and in almost all weathers.
Children will work, play and learn boundaries of behaviour; both physical and social, grow in confidence, self-esteem and motivation whilst developing an understanding of the natural world.
Through Forest School sessions, children develop their social and communication skills, learn to work in groups effectively and gain self-esteem and confidence in their abilities.
The Woodland Explorers meet every Thursday from 3.30pm- 4.30pm. The year is split in half, September through to February half term for Year 4, 5 and 6; February half term through to the summer holidays for Years 2, 3 and 4.
