Forest School supports children’s holistic development. Children engage in self-directed, motivating and achievable tasks and activities throughout the year and in almost all weathers.
Children will work, play and learn boundaries of behaviour; both physical and social, grow in confidence, self-esteem and motivation whilst developing an understanding of the natural world.
Through Forest School sessions, children develop their social and communication skills, learn to work in groups effectively and gain self-esteem and confidence in their abilities.
Coupled with these Forest School sessions we also provide more focused nurture sessions for children with more complex social and emotional needs. This invaluable support offers the children more practical, self-led opportunities to interact with adults and peers in a calm, natural environment.
