At Reedswood we place huge importance on community spirit and seeing how we can make a positive impact both locally and in the wider world.
We take part in a variety of events which highlight issues and raise awareness, including NSPCC ‘Pants’ and Anti Bullying week campaigns.
We encourage understanding of local, national and international causes through charitable events, backing this with learning about the issues behind them. This is available to all of our children with activities tailored to their ages and individual needs.
During the academic year we support:
- Local food banks (Harvest)
- The Royal British Legion (Remembrance Day)
- Children in Need
Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day
- Comic Relief (Red Nose Day and Sport Relief)
- NSPCC
We display the totals raised for these charities to both celebrate our accomplishments as well as to ‘inspire us to achieve’ even greater understanding and empathy moving forward.
