Each of our pupils is important to us, and we want them to be happy, healthy and achieve their academic potential.

We have regular assemblies, visitors and trips to provide children with an engaging, memorable school experience.

Our teachers work closely with the SENCO, safeguarding/pastoral team and academy nurse in order to ensure our pupils are safe and well supported.

We have a robust program of monitoring and tracking pupils’ progress, which informs our planning. Our teachers work hard to plan exciting lessons for all pupils to take part in.

Working alongside their learning support assistant, teachers provide help and resources during class time. For those identified as needing additional support, we provide one to one support and intervention groups that take place in small groups during the afternoons.

Activities

Additionally, we have a forest school, which is used to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment.

At Reedswood, we are proud of our sporting achievements. We offer a variety of sport opportunities; through team sports (representing the academy), after-academy clubs and lunchtime activities run by our sports coach. Pupils also benefit from swimming lessons in our on-site pool.
